A temple in Chandni Chowk was vandalized on Sunday night. The incident has since heated communal clashes in and all around Chandni Chowk. Many injuries and damages to life and property have been reported and Delhi Police is trying to keep things calm.
A Bike parking clash near the Chandni Chowk place developed into a communal clash which leads to vandalizing the 100-year-old temple.
Issue began after a Parking space dispute arisen in Chandini Chowk area. Later the heated argument resulted in physical violence. Group then went on to vandalize the temple around 10:00 PM on Sunday. Locals who saw their temple vandalized protested against this and called for strong action against those responsible. The protest carried on till Monday morning. Group of people from another community started pelting stones on the protestors.
A video surfaced online which purportedly showed a man allegedly being beaten up by some people, who were suspected to be drunk, over a parking issue.
